Holding the Federal VA Accountable: Governor Scott was one of the very first in the nation to call for the federal VA to fix the problems with their unconscionable wait list. He is committed to fixing these issues by sending Florida’s health inspectors in to review these federal hospitals and has sued the federal government, to help ensure veterans are getting the great care they deserve.
The Florida GI-Bill: Governor Scott signed into law the GI-Bill, giving in-state college tuition rates to all veterans.
Veteran’s License Flexibility: Because of Governor Scott, the State of Florida now works with active duty personnel and veterans to make sure that whenever possible, they can bring their professional licenses from other states right into our workforce.
Protecting Soldiers’ Families: Governor Scott has made sure that those active duty soldiers deployed in Florida that have children with special needs receive the same level of state-funded care as soon as they arrive to make their transitions as smooth as possible.
